My Hybrids

My current hybridization goals

Foliage

I primarily focus on well-behaved serrated or scalloped, pointed foliage, with little to no red backing.

I avoid plants with foliage that folds or cups downward on the edges. I also prefer miniatures but grow all sizes.

Flowers

I primarily focus on ‘white eyes’, thumbprints, or variable white patterns. I am interested in learning about the relationship between these traits, and suspect at the least that white eyes and thumbprints are caused by the same gene, with varying expression of white. I hope to test this hypothesis with my crosses!

I also like reds, green or white-edges, and ray-type fantasy (such as on RS-Zorro or Black Tie Affair). I avoid fringed or wasp flowers.

Documentation

I keep details of all of my AV crosses and seedlings in a spreadsheet, which can be found here: AV Seedlings Each tab tracks a single cross.
